Jotika Kaler
Lawyer

"All advocacy is, at its core, an exercise in empathy.

My practice covers a wide aspect of employment and human rights law with an emphasis on wrongful dismissal, workplace harassment and discrimination, and advising on employment contracts.

Prior to joining HHBG lawyers, I had a general litigation practice that included employment, personal injury, and construction law. I also have experience in corporate commercial matters including reviewing and drafting contracts and license agreements.

I am born and raised in Calgary, and attended law school at the University of Alberta. After being called to the Alberta bar in 2018, I practiced in Calgary at a mid-size full service firm. I was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2021 after relocating to Surrey.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family while exploring my new home province. In my spare time, I love to read and watch movies and television series.
