Sandi Thompson
Legal Administrative Assistant - Surrey

"I provide administrative support to our lawyers in our Surrey office.

After 27 years doing insurance defence, I decided it was time to try my hands at employment law.  I received my Legal Secretary Certificate from Douglas College in 1995.  During my time, I have seen many changes to the legal secretary role, now known as Legal Administrative Assistant and how much it has evolved.

I am a proud member of Girl Guides of Canada as a Unit Leader.  My daughter and I spent 13 years with the same great group of girls, doing many adventures, volunteering within the community, and mentoring the younger girls.  Many of our adventures included camping (lots and lots of camping), snowshoeing, zip lining, kayaking/canoeing, hiking, high ropes, surfing … and the list goes on.  In 2018, we did an International Trip to England and Switzerland where we stayed in the Guide Houses, and participated in a week-long program while in Switzerland.   Outside of work and Guiding, you will find me spending time with my husband, kids and family enjoying life!
